Bern, May 2025
As part of the preparation of Switzerland’s national report on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the Agenda 2030, SocietyVision was invited to contribute to the SDGital2030 consultation process initiated by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Switzerland’s progress and identify key challenges to be addressed by 2030.
A contribution focused on cooperative action
SocietyVision’s contribution focuses on six priority SDG targets, in line with its mission to build bridges between economic actors and the vital forces of society for a sustainable transformation.
The selected targets include:
- Equitable access to resources for vulnerable populations (SDG 1.4),
- Promotion of impact-driven entrepreneurship and responsible SMEs (SDG 8.3),
- Socially valuable and dignified employment (SDG 8.5),
- Corporate social responsibility and reporting (SDG 12.6),
- Policy coherence for sustainable development (SDG 17.14),
- Development of innovative multi-stakeholder partnerships (SDG 17.17).
Concrete projects illustrating the commitment
Since its inception, SocietyVision has supported and initiated several impactful projects:
- Collaboration with the Teatro Dimitri Foundation and Accademia Teatro Dimitri to define a strategic and marketable vision for corporate partners (Ticino, 2018–2021).
- Participation in the ELIA Conference in Helsinki (2022) exploring intersections between the arts, sustainability and societal innovation.
- Facilitation of a working group at the Swiss Green Economy Symposium (SGES 2018) on the topic « Art and economic cooperation for the common good. »
- Ongoing collaboration with PIMAS SA (France) to build a dual-purpose business model combining economic performance with social engagement.
- Upcoming launch of a “cooperative arts” module, using performance art as a medium for organizational transformation.
These initiatives exemplify SocietyVision’s active role in creating tangible, scalable models for cooperation between the economic sector and civil society.
A first step towards recognition and institutional engagement
Although still in its early stages, SocietyVision’s contribution to SDGital2030 demonstrates its intention to position itself as a credible, long-term player in Switzerland’s sustainability landscape. By advancing a model based on measurable, long-term partnerships between businesses and nonprofit actors, SocietyVision offers a new narrative on the economic sector’s role in achieving the SDGs.
This institutional recognition marks a meaningful step toward broader visibility and legitimacy in the public discourse.
